The Mall road – Shimla , Major Tourist attraction in Shimla

Overview : Mall Road is the main street in Shimla,Constructed during British colonial rule, The Mall road is located a level below the ridge The Mall Road – Shimla, It is the heart of the town and best way to explore the town, It is the center of activity that tourists can enjoy,The Mall Road street has Various Popular Hotels, Showroom  Shops etc. Tourist can enjoy the horse ride and Shopping on Mall road, Vehicle are not allowed in Mall road making it pollution free . The Historic Structure like Christ Church, Public Library, Gaiety Theater, Town Hall and General Post Office etc are all on the Mall Road,The Items like wooden articles, handicrafts, are Famous in Mall Road.
All colonial structures are located on the Mall RoadThe Mall Road also has all major hotels, restaurants and recreation centers of Shimla.The Mall road is full of shops that sell woolen clothes, branded clothes, handicraft items, pottery items, jeweler  books, etc. The Mall Road is also famous for its wooden furniture shops that sell exquisite wooden articles, which look like antiques.
The Mall road has a number of showrooms, department stores, shops, restaurants and cafes. A Himachal emporium that offers handicraft products of Himachal Pradesh is also located here.There are books shops including one that sells old books.

Scandal point

Scandal point, as seen from the Ridge, Shimla, The most prominent feature of the point today is a statue of the Indian freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai . Next to Scandal Point is the General Post Office, Shimla.

Gaiety Theater

Gaiety Theater, located on the Mall, was opened on the 30th of May, 1887. Today, the Gaiety is primarily known for its social club. Schools in Shimla use this theater for performing arts.The theater has been renovated with the original structure untouched to keep its heritage preserved while making it more attractive.

Kali Bari Temple

The temple was built in 1845. It is dedicated to the goddess Kali. It is believed that an ancient temple of Shamla .In the temple a wooden image is worshiped locally.

Town Hall

The Municipal Corporation building of Shimla adds to the surrounding architecture, . The building is preserved in its original form. The large steps and the entrance to this building are a common site for pictures depicting the Mall at Shimla.
